Norm,
You did something a bit extra than publishing a magazine, something that maybe you did not realize, you gave me a chance to write.
My education was excellent, quand on pense que, ''l'education est reçu à la maison, l'instruction à l'école.'' however in English, my education was very limited and even then I drew only what I thought at the time would be convenient to me later on in life. It took me four schools to make grade 12 and graduate, and I was expelled from the third one, suspended from the second one several times. What I did retain from school was a certain ability to, and a grand pleasure of, writing and also studying history.
Regardless of my texts, written in my fashion, you accepted them and made them public. To me, being able to write and to share is gold. You made it possible and I want to thank you.
I want to thank you equally for your time and the effort which can be seen by your finished monthly product. You can be proud of what you did and how you have enlightened others who. like me, would have never known such things as the Franco-American culture, Blessed Kateri a bit more intimitely, and also the views of people who are not necesarily in the same groove of life. It was like studying a culture while sitting in the catbird's seat.
Again Norm, Un GROS GROS merci!
Jim
