L'an mil cent sept soixante-dix-sept, le vingt juillet, après la publication de trois bans de promesse de mariage faite aux prônes des messes de paroisses par trois dimanches consécutifs entre André Téroux, fils d'André Téroux dit Laferté et de Jeanne Pelissier les père et mère de cette paroisse d'une part et de Charlotte Maclure, fille de défunt Thomas Maclure et Charlotte Falardeau les père et mère aussi de cette paroisse d'autre part
sans qu'on ait découvert aucun empêchement au dit mariage, je soussigné prêtre curé missionaire d'Yamaska après avoir reçu leur mutuel consentement de mariage leur ai donné la bénédiction nuptiale avec les cérémonies prescrites par la Sainte Église notre mère en présence de la part de l'époux d'André Téroux dit Laferté père, de Pierre, Paul et Joseph Téroux ses oncles, de Pierre Pelissier son oncle, de Pierre Luc Duhamel et Ignace Laplante, et de la part de l'épouse de Joseph Giguère le père de la mariée, d'Antoine ?? et de plusieurs autres parents et amis les uns ont signé, les autres ont déclaré de ne pouvoir signer ainsi que l'époux de ce enquis lecture faite

In the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy-eight, on twenty July, after the publication of the three bans of promise of marriage carried out during the announcements of the parish masses for three consecutive Sundays, between André Téroux, son of André Téroux dit Laferté and Jeanne Plisier, father and mother from this parish on the one hand, and of Charlotte Maclure, daughter of the deceased Thomas Maclure and Charlotte Falardeau, father andmother also from this parish on the other hand, without our having found any impediment to the aforementioned marriage, I, the undesigned, priest missionary pastor of Yamaska after having received their mutual consent of marriage, gave them the nuptial blessing with the ceremonies prescribed by the Holy Church our mother, in the presence on the part of the groom, André Téroux dit Laferté father, of Pierre, Paul and Joseph Téroux his uncles, of Pierre Pelissier, his uncle, of Pierre Luc Duhamel and Ignace Laplante, and on the part of the bride of Joseph Giguère, the bride's father, of Antoine ?? and of many other relatives and friends, some have signed, others have declared not being able to sign as well as the groom this document, reading having been accomplished
