L'an mil sept cent cinquante quatre le quatorze de Mars est
decedé en cette paroisse de Verchères Joseph Guyon agé de soixante et
quatorze ans environ premier chantre de l'eglise de Verchères, capitaine
de milice apres avoir reçu les sacrements de penitence, eucharisti viatique
et extreme-onction, son corps a été enterré avec les ceremonies prescrites
par la Sainte Eglise dans l'eglise de cette paroisse au milieu du
choeur le seize du mois et an, en presence de Sieur Joseph Dansereau
marguillier en charge de l'eglise de Verchères, de Charles Paquet
de la Bauce, paroisse de Verchères qui ont tous declaré ne
savoir signer de ce requis en foy de quoi, j'ay
signé.

The year one thousand seven hundred fifty-four the fourteenth of March
died in this parish of Verchères Joseph Guyon at the age of seventy-four
years about, the first cantor of the church of Verchères, captain
of the militia, after having received the sacraments of Penance, Eucharistic Viaticum,
and Extre-Unction, his body was buried with the ceremonies prescribed
by the Holy Church in the church of this parish in the middle of
the choir on the sixteenth of the month and year, in the presence of Lord Joseph Dansereau
custodian in charge of the church of Verchères, of Charles Paquet
of Bauce, the parish of Verchères who all declared not
knowing how to sign as require, in good faith, I
signed .
