L'an mil huit cent seize le vingt-six de février après la publication des trois bans de mariage faite au prône de cette paroisse par trois dimanches consécutifs entre les personnes de Joseph Salois, cultivateur, fils majeur de feu Joseph Salois et de Catherine Antoine Martin les père et mère de cette paroisse d'une part et de Julie Bernier fille mineure de feu François Bernier et de Thérèse Bergeron les père et mère aussi de cette paroisse d'autre part, ne s'étant trouvé aucun empêchement ni approbation et les parents des parties ayant consenti au mariage, j'ai reçu le mutuel consentement de mariage de l'époux et de l'épouse et leur ai donné la bénédiction nuptiale avec les cérémonies prescrites par la Ste-Église, en présence pour l'époux de Régis Salois son frère et de Michel Auclair et pour l'épouse de Joseph Parenteau son beau-père et le tout de présents qui n'ont signé qui l'époux et l'épouse ont déclarié ne savoir signer.

The year one thousand eight hundred sixteen the twenty-six February after the publication of the three bans of marriage carried out during the sermon of this parish for three consecutive Sundays between the persons of Joseph Salois, farmer, adult son of the deceased Joseph Salois and of Catherine Antoine Martin the father and mother of this parish on the one part, and of Julie Bernier, minor daughter of the deceased François Bernier and Thérèse Bergeron the father and mother also of this parish on the other part, having found no impediment nor approbation and the parents of the parties gave their consent to the marriage, I received the mutual consent of marriage of the groom and bride and gave them the nuptial blessed with the ceremonies prescribed by the Holy Church, in the presence for the groom of Régis Salois his brother and of Michel Auclaire and for the bride of Joseph Parenteau her father-in-law and all those present who did not sign and the groom and bride declared not knowing how to sign.
