L'an mil sept cent quatre vingt dix neuf le quinze Janvier après la publication des trois bans de promesse de mariage faite au prône des messes de paroisse par trois dimanches consécutifs, entre François Bernier fils majeur de Jean Baptiste Bernier et de Marie Landry les père et mère de la paroisse du Cap St-Ignace proche Québec d'une part et de Thérèse Bergeron fille mineure de Thomas Bergeron et de Thérèse Pélissier les père et mère de cette paroisse d'autre part, sans qu'on ait décourvert aucun empêchement au dit mariage, je curé missionaire de la paroisse d'Yamaska soussigné après avoir reçu leur mutuel consentement de mariage, leur ai donné la bénédiction nuptiale avec les cérémonies prescrites par la Ste Église notre mère, en présence de la part de l'époux de Louis Bernier, son frère et de Jean François Gingras témoins et de la part de l'épouse de Thomas Bergeron son père de Pierre Pélisser son grand-père, de Régis Pélissier et Pierre Baptiste Pélissier ses oncles et de Jean Maclure Marchant témoins et de plusieurs autres parents et amis, les uns ont signé, les autres ont déclaré ne savoir signer, l'épouse a signée, l'époux a déclaré ne savoir signer ce enquis. The year one thousand seven hundred ninety-nine the fifteeth January, after the publication of the three bans of promise of marriage carried out during the sermon of the parish masses for three consecutive Sundays, between François Bernier adult son of Jean Baptiste Bernier and Marie Landry the father and mother of the parish of Cap St-Ignace near Québec on the one part, and of Thérèse Bergeron minor daughter of Thomas Bergeron and of Thérèse Pélissier the father andmother of this parish on the other part, without having found any impediment to the aforementioned marriage, I the undersigned missionary pastor of Yamaska after having received their mutual consent of marriage, gave them the nuptial blesed with ceremonies prescribed the Holy Church our Mother, in the presence on the part of the groom of Louise Bernier, his brother and Jean François Gingras witnesses and on the part of the bride of Thomas Bergeron his father, of Pierre Pélissier his grandfather, of Régis Pélissier and Pierre Baptiste Pélissier her uncles and of Jean Maclure Marchant witnesses and of many other relatives and friends, these signed, the others declared not knowing how to sign, the bride signed, the groom declared not knowing how to sign this document.
