First marriage: before 1712-09-27 Michilimackinac [She was teaching the
Jesuit priest the Ottawa language there in 1713. He found her to be an
exemplary woman.] with DANIEL JOSEPH AMIOT VILLENEUVE Father : MATHIEU
AMIOT VILLENEUVE Mother : MARIE MIVILLE Family

Second marriage: before 1724-02-05 Michilimackinac with AUGUSTIN MOETE
MORASSE Father : PIERRE MOETE MORASSE Mother : ELISABETH ISABELLE JUTRAS
VALLEE Family [I don't know why PRDH does not list LANGLADE as a dit name]
[Jetté gives Pierre Mouet sieur de Moras, enseign in 1694 & 1708; and his son: Augustin Mouet, sieur de _Langlade_, m vers 1723 Michilimakinac, LAFOURCHE, Domitilde, without connecting her to Daniel Amiot Villeneuve, her first husband.]
Maurice Ménard and probably his wife were at Michilimackinac, Maurice serving as interpreter and eventually sergeant, from about 1713 on. They wrote a power of attorney to allow Louis Ménard to handle their business and care for their minor daughters. Her death record has not survived. Maurice had been there often earlier than that (I have him documented there during Cadillac's years, 1694-1697; in 1706; in 1713; and several more times up to about 1731 in the colonial correspondence and other documents). His daughter Suzanne and her husband Gabriel Bolon, a soldier, were married there in 1726 and some of their children were born there or at St.-Joseph Miamis (Niles, Michigan). The Bolon home has been excavated at modern-day Mackinac City. Antoine traveled there on several hiring trips, but I haven't collected all of those engagements yet. ]

It's the only _evidence_ I have that Marie-Anne Germaneau / Montour may have visited her mother Isabelle Couc / Madame Montour while Madame Montour was interpreting in Albany, as Marie-Anne did not return with her cousins that fall. She was back in Chambly by 1723, though, using the last name MONTOUR. I'm the first to find this judicial record of the unauthorized trip.] ***Norm, I am holding this detail for publication in the October issue of Michigan's Habitant Heritage, along with the finds I have about Marguerite Roy.
