NINTH GENERATION

Nicolas MATTE, from St-Saire (near Neuville-Ferrières) in Normandy, was baptized at Ste-Geneviève-en-Bray, on 8 December 1636. At the time of the 1666 Census, he was living at la Pointe-aux-Trembles (today Neuveille) in the Province of Québec, Canada, where he was granted land in 1702 by Jean Bourdon, Lord of Dombourg. He was one of the founders of Neuville.
Nicolas MATTE, the son of Charles MATTE & Barbe HARACHE, married Madeleine OUVRAY, daughter of Antoine OUVRAY & Marie LENORMAND, in October 1671 in Notre-Dame de Québec. (1)

Nicolas MATTE married Angélique COQUIN, daughter of Pierre COQUIN & Catherine BAUDIN on 24 April 1705 in Neuville. (1)


SEVENTH GENEATION

Nicolas MATTE married Marie GODIN, daughter of Jean-François GODIN & Geneviève LEFRANÇOIS, on 19 January 1739 in Neuville. (1)
