FIFTH GENERATION

16. Joseph LÉVEILLÉE was also known as FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉE. He was born 19 and baptized 20 March 1813 in St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec. Godparents were Jean-Baptiste BROUILLARD and Geneviève DANIS. (12) He married Marie BROUILLARD on 18 Oct 1831 in St-Michel, Yamaska, Québec. Witnesses were Joseph's father Jacques FOURQUIN dit LÉVEILLÉ, his brother Antoine FOURQUIN dit LÉVEILLÉ, Félix BROUILLARD, brother of the bride, Pierre MARICHAND and Jean-Baptiste BROUILLARD, the only witness who signed the certificate. (1)(8) He died 28 April 1902 at the age of 90, in St-Aimé de Richelieu. He was the Town Crier of St-Aimé. (9) He erected the niche of Notre-Dame-des-Campagnes in 1862.(10) He served as "marguillier" (church warden) in 1867. (11)

Joseph married twice more: his second marriage to Émilie AUTOT (AUTOTTE); his third marriage to Luce CARTIER(1)   

17a. Marie BROUILLARD was born 19 and baptized 20 March 1813 in St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec, on the same day as her future husband. Godparents were Antoine BROUILLARD and Geneviève ALEXANDRE. (12) She was Joseph's first marriage on 18 Oct 1831. Marie died before 1874. Her parents were Félix BROUILLARD & Louise ALEXANDRE.

     Children of the first marriage were:

child8 ii. Antoine LÉVEILLÉE was born and baptized 17 May 1834 in St-Michel d'Yamaska. Godparents were Antoine FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉ, his uncle, and Marguerite LÉVEILLÉE BROUILLARD, his aunt. (25) He married Sophie LAMBERT on 20 Jul 1852 in St-David, Yamaska, Québec. He was also known as Antoine FOURQUIN dit LÉVEILLÉ. (14) He died on 24 Jan 1880 at the age of 45 years and was buried on 27 January 1880 in the cemetery of St-Aimé, Richelieu County, Québec. (15)

i. Joseph LÉVEILLÉE was born in June 1832 and died 28 August 1833 at age 13 months. He was the first born son. (26)

iii. Mathilde LÉVEILLÉE born in 1835. She died 5 Dec 1837 at age 2 1/2 years. (15)

iv. Angèle LÉVEILLÉE-FOURQUIN was born 16 April 1837; godfather Félix BROUILLARD; godmother Marie ST-GERMAIN. (16) She married Modeste RÈCHE aka RAICHE (Modeste RÈCHE & Marie COUTURIER) 25 April 1854 in St-Aimé, Richelieu, Québec. (3)

v. Louis FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉE born and baptized 27 March 1840. Godfather was Louis LEBRUN; godmother was Angèle BROUILLARD. (16) He married Angèle GAUCIN dit ST-GERMAIN (Antoine GAUCIN & Thérèse CAYA) 11 Feb 1861 in St-Aimé. (6)(2)
Children were: 

	i. Marie Delia was born 26 Sept 1868 in St-David d'Yamaska; 
	died 14 Feb 1944 in Arctic, West Warwick, RI. She married 
	(Eugene) Aimé BROUILLARD (Louis & Josette PARENT) 3 Nov 1890 
	in St-David.(18) Aimé was born 	6 Feb 1871 in St-David and 
	died 4 Oct 1950 in Coventry, RI. 
	
Their children were: Roméo, Raoul, Almeria, Rosella, Rosanna, 
	Eva and Léonard. (17)
		i. Léonard Joseph was baptized 15 Aug 1909 in Yamaska, 
		Québec. On 24 Nov 1931 in St-Jean-Baptiste Church, 
		West Warwick, RI, he married Marie Rose Lillian SOUCY
	 	(Louis & Georgianna AUCLAIR). Marie was baptized 
		3 Mar 1912 in Warwick, RI.(21)
		 ii. Rosanna was baptized 10 Jan 1902 in St-David, Québec. 
		On 6 Jun 1921, in St-Jean Baptiste, she married 
		Joseph Omer LANGLAIS (Joseph & Delima DANIS. Joseph was 
		baptized 21 Jun 1901 in St-David.(22)
		iii. Rosella was baptized 5 Sept 190· St-David. 
		On 24 Nov 1927, she married Hayden Joseph DODD
		(Arthur & Florence HOPKINS) 24 Nov 1927 
		in St-Jean-Baptiste Church, West Warwick, RI. 
		Hayden was baptized 17 Nov 1927 in Arctic, RI.(23) 
		iv. Roméo was born 14 Aug 1891 in St-David 
		and died 28 Nov 1926,Arctic, West Warwick RI.
		He married Blanche R. MARTIN, who was born 24 Sept 1894 
		and died July 1980, West Warwick, RI. (24)
		v. Raoul was born 14 Feb 1897 in St-David 
		and died March 1978 in West Warwick, RI. (24)
		vi. Almeria F was born 24 Nov 1898 in St-David 
		and died 4 Dec 1985 in West Warwick, RI.
		She married John Henry DODD, who was born 26 Sept 1893
		and died Jan 1976 in West Warwick, Kent County, RI. (24)
		vii. Eva M was born 14 Oct 1901 in St-David 
		and died 3 Aug 1982 in Narragansett, Washington County,RI. 
		She married Aimé W. LAVALLÉE 8 Jan 1920; they divorced. 
		She married James E. Richards.

vii. Eléonore LÉVEILLÉE born 1839 and died 17 April 1842 at the age of 3 years. (15)

viii. Hermine FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉE was born around 1840. She married Narcisse PARENTEAU (Narcisse & Angèle TERROU) 18 Jun 1860 in St-Aimé. (6)

ix. Baby Anonymous LÉVEILLÉE was born and died 21 and buried 23 Oct 1843 (15)

x. Joseph LÉVEILLÉE born and baptized 20 Oct 1844. Godfather was Joseph BROUILLARD; godmother was Marguerite FOURQUIN.(16) He died 11 March 1852 at the age of 8 years. (15)

xi. Narcisse (Narcyse) LÉVEILLÉE born and baptized 10 Dec 1846. Godfather was Narcyse BROUILLARD; godmother was Geneviève SALVA. (16) He married Marguerite LALANCETTE (Louis & Marie FORCIER) 21 Feb 1865 in St-Aimé de Richelieu. (6) He was a "marguillier" (church warden) in 1907-1908 for St-Aimé parish. (10)

xii. Marie Célina FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉE born and baptized 20 April 1849. Godfather was Louis PÉPIN; godmother was Adélaide BROUILLARD. (16) She married Louis VILLIARD (Jean & Julie LALANCETTE) 27 Feb 1865 in St-Aimé de Richelieu. (6)

xiii. Aimé LÉVEILLÉE born and baptized 6 May 1851. Godfather was Louis GAUCIN dit ST-GERMAIN; godmother was Thérèse BROUILLARD. He married Marie FORCIER (Antoine & Geneviève FOURQUIN) 28 Nov 1871 in St-Michel, Yamaska. (5) His second marriage was to Emélie DESROSIERS, widow of Paul Larochelle 12 Jul 1921 à St Robert.

Marie Flore Aldéa LÉVEILLÉ was born on 9 & baptized on 10 December 1891 in St-Aimé de Richelieu.
Célina LÉVEILLÉE married Joseph HÉBERT (Gilbert HÉBERT & Marie BROUILLARD) on 10 Jan 1893 in St-Michel d'Yamaska. (27)

xv. Joseph LÉVEILLÉ FOURQUIN born and baptized 27 August 1855. Godparents were Antoine FOURQUIN and Sophie LAMBERT (16). He married Mathilde Élise FORCIER (Antoine & Geneviève FOURQUIN) 2 August 1875.(5) His second marrige was to Mélina PAUL-HUS on 17 Sept 1925. (3)

i. Émélie LÉVEILLÉ married Oméril THÉROUX, son of Louis THÉROUX & ANGÈLE LÉVEILLÉ, on 13 July 1897 in St-Aimé de Richelieu. (29)
ii. Philippe LÉVEILLÉ married Léona VALOIS, daughter of Louis VALOIS & Julie ST-GERMAIN, on 16 August 1898 in St-Michel d'Yamaska.
Children:
Joseph Aimé Léveillé was born 11 March and baptized 13 March 1901 in St-Aimé de Richelieu.

iii. Delvina LÉVEILLÉ married Jean-Baptiste BELISLE, son of Joseph BELISLE & Mathilde Forcier on 10 October 1899 in St-Aimé de Richelieu. (29)

xvi. Edouard LÉVEILLÉE born and baptized 3 Nov 1859. Godparents were Narcisse HÉBERT and Mathilde PÉPIN. (16) He died 24 Jan 1861, at the age of 15 months. (15)

 

17b. Joseph's second marriage, on 13 April 1874 was to Émilie AUTOT (AUTOTTE) (daughter of Julie AUTOT.) There were no children. Émilie died before 1897. (1)(2)

17c. His third marriage, on 16 Sept 1897, was to Luce CARTIER (Joseph CARTIER & Catherine GIGUÈRE). Luce's first marriage, on 12 April 1866, was to Louis SCHMID, widower of Victoire FORCIER. There were no children. (13)
