1734. Noël MORIN was born in around 1609 in St-Étienne-de-Comté-Robert, Brie, France. He was a half-brother to François HÉBERT. He was also known as Noël CHARRON. He was a wheelwright. He arrived in New France before 1639. He married Hélène DESPORTES, the widow of Guillaume HÉBERT and the first French woman born in New France, on 9 Jan 1640 in Québec. He died on 10 Feb 1680 at Rivière-du-Sud, Montmagny. (2)(5)

1735. Hélène DESPORTES was born on 7 Jul 1620 in Notre-Dame des Recources, Québec, the first French child to survive in the colony. Her godmother was Hélène BOULLÉ, the wife of Samuel de Champlain. She followed her parents bck to France in 1629, only to return as early as 1632 with her parents. She was the widow of Guillaume HÉBERT whom she had married on 1 Oct 1634 in Québec, at the age of fourteen. She was among the beneficiaries in Champlain's will of 1635. Her uncle Guillaume COUILLARD undertook the guardianship of her three children. She died 24 June 1675 in Québec. (3)(4)

867 iii. Louise MORIN was born 27 Apr 1643 in Québec. She married Charles CLOUTIER on 20 Apr 1659 in Québec. She died 26 Apr 1713 in Château-Richer. (1)

iv. Nicolas was born 26 Apr 1644 in Québec. (1)

v. Jean Baptiste was born 25 May 1645 in Québec. He married Catherine DECANTIGNY BELLEAU 22 Nov 1667 in Québec. He died 12 Dec 1694 in Québec. (1)

vi. Marguerite was born 29 Aug and died 17 Oct 1646 in Québec. (1)

vii. Hélène was born 30 Aug 1647 and died 9 May 1661 in Québec. (1)

viii. Marie was born 19 Mar 1649 in Québec. She was the first novice of the Hospitalers in Montréal. She died 8 Apr 1730 in Montréal. (1)

ix. Alphonse was born 12 Dec 1650 in Québec. He married Marie Madeleine NORMAND 10 Feb 1670 in Québec. He died 29 Aug 1711 in Montmagny. (1)

xi. Charles was born 29 Aug 1654 in Québec. He died 4 Oct 1671 in Québec. (1)

xii. Marie Madeline was born 28 Dec 1656 in Québec. She married Gilles RAJOTTE 29 May 1673 in Québec. She died 21 Jul 1720 in Québec. (1)
