1646. Pierre PETIT was born in St-Germain d'Auxerre, diocese of Paris, Île-de-France. He married Catherine DESNOYERS before 12 July 1647 in France. He was one of the first two quit-rent payers at Notre-Dame-des-Anges, having received his land on 6 Apri 1647. He mistakenly built his house outside the boundaries of his land, a mistake that J. LALEMANT could not accept. A domestic was killed on his property and his son of three years, Joseph, was taken by the Mohawks in May of 1650; his son died in captivity in 1653. He sold his land to Mathurin FRANCHETOT and the land became part of a larger parcel given to Chrisophe CREVIER on 19 November 1653. He acquired land at Beaupré, but then moved to Île-d'Orléans and then to Charlebourg. His remaining days were spent with Joachim MARTIN, at his son-in-law's La Petite Auberge, at Notre-Dame-des-Anges. (1)(3)
