6846. Zacharie CLOUTIER was born in 1590. He was a carpenter from Saint-Jean Baptiste de Mortagne in Perche, France. He married Xaintes DUPONT on 18 July 1616 in France. On 14 March 1634, Robert GIFFARD hired Zacharie and Jean Guyon, and their eldest sons, to clear the land of his fied in Beauport. They were promised a sub-fied of 1,000 arpents, which they began to clear and to build their joint residence on the Beauport domain. Their families arrived in 1635. There was a dispute between Robert GIFFARD and Zacharie and Jean over the payment of a tax on their land. Zacharie finally settled in Beaupré, after selling the Cloutier fief to Nicolas DUPONT on 20 December 1670. He died on 17 September 1677 at Château-Richer. (1)(7)

6847. Xaintes Saintes DUPONT was born in 1597. She died on 14 and was buried on 15 July 1680 in Notre-Dame de la Visitation, Québec. She was also known as Saintes DUPONT. (8)

Cardinal Louis Nazaire Begin (b. 1840 - d. 1925) was Bishop of Chicoutimi, Québec, then Archbishop and eventually a Cardinal, was a direct descendant of Zacarie and Xaintes.

childi.    Zacharie CLOUTIER was a carpenter. He was baptised on 16 August 1617 at St.Jean, Montagne, Sees. He married Marie Madeleine ÉMARD, daughter of Jean ÉMARD & Marie BINEAU, on 4 April 1648 at St.Barthelemi, Larochelle, Aunis, France. Marie Madeleine EMARD was baptised on 1 August 1626 at St-André, Niort, Poitiers, Poitou. Zacharie died on 3 and was buried on 4 February 1708 at Château-Richer, Montmorency, Québec. Madeleine died on 28 and buried on 30 May 1708 at age 81 at Château-Richer, Montmorency, Québec. Additional information. (3)(8)

child838 ii.  Jean CLOUTIER was born in 1620. He married Marie MARTIN on 21 January 1648 in the Paroisse de Notre-Dame de Québec, Beauport, Québec. Marie was born and baptized on 10 April 1635 in the Paroisse de Notre-Dame de Québec. Jean died and was buried on 16 October 1690 in Château-Richer, Québec. Marie died on 25 and was buried on 26 April 1699 in Château-Richer, Québec. (1)(4)(8)

child775 iii.   Marie Anne CLOUTIER was born and baptized 19 January 1626 in St-Jean-de-Mortaque, Perche, France. She married Robert DROUIN on 12 July 1637 in Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Québec. Anne died on 2 and buried on 3 February 1648 in the Paroisse de Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Québec. Robert Drouin died on 1 and was buried on 2 June 1685 in Château-Richer. (1)(2)(8)

child866 iv.  Charles CLOUTIER was born on 3 May 1624 in Orne, France. He was a carpenter (charpentier). He married Louise MORIN 20 April 1659 in the Paroisse de Notre-Dame de Québec. Louise was baptized on 27 April 1643 in the Paroisse de Notre-Dame de Québec. Charles died on 5 and buried on 7 June 1709 in Château-Richer, Québec. Louise died on 28 and buried on 29 April 1713 in Château-Richer, Québec. (1)(5)(8)

child3423 v. Louise CLOUTIER was born on 18 March 1632 in France. She first married François LAMARGUERITE on 26 October 1645 in Québec. She then married Jean MIGNOT MIGNEAULT dit CHATILLON on 10 November 1648 in Québec. Her third marriage was to Jean MATEAU on 3 February 1684 in Château-Richer. Louise died on 22 and was buried on 23 June 1699 in Château-Richer. (1)(6)(8)
