ELEVENTH GENERATION
1850. Jean François HAREL was born in 1646, probably at La Rochelle, France, where he was acquainted with Jacques Aubuchon, and where he lived between 1650 and 1660. He declared himself to be 17 years of age at the 1666 census, and 18 years old in 1667. He was a domestic servant of Jacques Aubuchon at Trois-Rivieres. He was 30 years old at the 1681 census, a domestic servant of Michel Pelletier at the Seignory of Gentilly. He also seems to have worked for, and entered a contract to serve Claude Houssard for two years. It is possible that he was born at Toutainville, France. The Harel family is one of the oldest in France. He was also known as Jean HAREL-JANEL. He married Marie Madeleine PESCHER before 31 Dec 1672 in Québec. He died 5 Jan 1716 in Sorel. (1)(2)
1851. Marie Madeleine PESCHER was also known as Marie Madeleine PECHE. She was born around Jun 1645 in France. She died 19 Nov 1728 in Montréal. (3)

vii. Marie Jacqueline was born 4 Jun 1684 in Chaplain. She married Pierre PIETTE dit TREMPE on 22 Jun 1700 in Sorel. (5)(6)
373 ix. Marie Clémence HAREL was born before 1689 in Québec somewhere. She married Pierre PELISSIER on 10 Oct 1714 in Sorel. She died 9 Apr 1757 in Yamaska. (1)(4)
