2878. Quentin MORAL dit CANTIN was born around 1620 in St-Quentin, Lorraine, France. He appeared in New France in 1650 and was a soldier in the "mobile patrol" in 1651. He was a Lieutenant du Roy (of the King). He was also known as Sieur de ST-QUENTIN. He married the widow Marie MARGUERIE, daughter of François MARGUERIE & Marthe ROMAIN, before 32 Dec 1653 at Trois-Rivières, Québec. He was a judge-provost of Cap-de-la-Madeleine and lieutenant for civil and criminal matters at Trois-Rivières. He died and was buried on 9 May 1686 at Trois-Rivières, Québec. (1)(2)(3)(4)(10)

2879. Marie MARGUERIE dit LAMARGUERITE was born on 12 Sep 1620 in St-Vincent, diocese of Rouen, Normandy, France. A contract for her first marriage to Jacques HERTEL was signed on 23 August 1641 at Trois-Rivières, Québec, by Notary Piraube. She was buried on 26 November 1700 at Trois-Rivières, Québec. (3)(4)(5)
