The names of François BÉLANGER and Marie GAGNON (GUYON) are inscribed on a plaque on the Louis Hébert monument in Parc Montmorency, Québec.

1705. Marie GUYON GUION was baptized 18 March 1624 in St-Jean de Mortagne, Perche, France. Québec Census of 1666 gave her age as 40, which would mean a 1626 birthday. She died on 29 August and was buried 1 September 1696 in Cap St-Ignace. She was also known as Marie DION. Sister Barbe GUYON (DION) married Pierre PARADIS. (6)

He married Élizabeth THIBEAULT on 22 November 1691 at Cap-St-Ignace. He died 17 August 1699 in L'Islet. Élizabeth was born on 16 and baptized on 20 March 1673 in Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré, Co. iv. Jean François BÉLANGER was baptized 15 February 1648 in the Paroisse de Notre-Dame de Québec. He married Marie CLOUTIER on 17 November 1671in the Paroise de la Visitation de Notre-Dame, Château-Richer. He was died on 5 and was buried 6 February 1682 in Cap St-Ignace. Tanguay (1) and Gérard (2) list Nicolas as being born around 1633 and the son of François Bélanger & Marie Guyon. According to Drouin (3) and PRDH (4), he is not the son of François Bélanger & Marie Guyon. Nicolas and François were cousins from the same parish of St-Thomas de Touques. (NAL)
