Léveillée & Théroux - Bélanger & Théroux
Jean-Baptiste Léveillée & Jeannette Bélanger both have Théroux Ancestors.
The parents of Jean-Baptiste, Joseph Léveillée & Césarie Théroux both have Léveillée Ancestors.
The common Théroux Ancestor for both families go up to Antoine André Théroux who married Marguerite Laforest on 10 June 1706 in Lachine, Québec. Antoine's parents were André Théroux & Jeanne Petit who married and lived in Verdun-sur-Garonne, Toulouse, Languedoc, France. This lineage goes back for eight generations.
Children of Antoine & Marguerite:Pierre THÉROUX was born 22 January 1707 in Ste-Anne-de Détroit. He married Rose COITOU POITOU on 30 September 1732 in Pointe-aux-Trembles. (4)
Pierre is the ancestor of Césarie THÉROUX, my paternal grandmother, wife of Joseph LÉVEILLÉE.
André THÉROUX was born 3 March 1721 in Baie-St-Paul. He married Jeanne Thérèse PELISSIER on 19 January 1750 in St-Michel d'Yamaska.
André is the ancestor of Mélina THÉROUX, my maternal grandmother, wife of Gédéon BÉLANGER.
The common Léveillée Ancestor for Jean-Baptiste's parents, Joseph Léveillée & Césarie Théroux go up to Joseph François Fourquin dit Léveillée who married Marie Anne Giguère on 22 February 1762 in St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec. Joseph's great-grandfather was Blaise FOURQUIN married Claude PIROT before 1660 in Lorraine, France. This lineage goes back for five generations.

i. Joseph LÉVEILLÉ dit FOURQUIN was born on 3 and baptized 4 November 1763 in St-Michel d'Yamaska. He married Marguerite TALUSSIER-LASALLE on 20 May 1787 in St-Michel, Yamaska, Québec. (13) (14)
This link will lead to my grandmother, Césarie THÉROUX, wife of Joseph LÉVEILLÉE, the author's grandfather, husband of Césarie Théroux.
The first ancestors to come to New France in the Carignan-Salières Regiment had two ancestors: LESVEILLE who was Pierre Léveillé, this author's ancestor and PETITJEAN who was Jean Vallée, the ancestor of the wife of this author, Annette Lavallée.
I guess that it is inevitable that there would be many common ancestors since there were only 40 first families who migrated to New France in the 1600's.
